YUMMY has got to be the best thing to happen lately to the food magazine scenario hereabouts. And it just keeps getting better to boot!
Or is it of any wonder that all four of us in the family - yours truly, my corporate bigwig wife, and both my sons ages twelve and seven - just plain dig every issue you come up with since we discovered it middle of last year? Believe you me, even my kids gets to whip up some of your featured recipes (mostly desserts like the ice cream confections of your May issue) sans apprehension thanks to the preparation procedures made really easy.
In fact, I am somewhat indebted to your publication for giving my workaholic wife in one fell swoop the interest, desire and much needed shot in the arm to finally enjoy showing off her culinary "prowess" after almost fourteen years of seeming trepidation to cook due to unfounded vain thoughts of possible unwelcome criticism from and comparison to her professional chef husband. Nowadays your streamlined recipes have given her the boldness to lord it over the kitchen with little or no stress at all. Among her more noteworthy undertakings courtesy of your magazine are the Breakfast Buffet (I couldn't have done the pancakes from scratch with caramel sauce any better myself) and Grilled Sandwich Bar from your January/February 2008 issue - what makes them memorable hands down is that she whipped them all up with little or no assistance from the househelp. Talk about greatly motivated and inspired multitasking!
Truly you're a blessing, YUMMY Magazine. Keep it up and God bless!
